Rules
The official (and totally unbiased) rules for the tournament.
Putting
Putting
- Birdie or better: putt it.
- Par: gimme inside 1 foot.
- Bogey: gimme inside 2 feet.
- Double bogey: you should have picked up already.
Up in the fairway, down in the rough
Lie
- Fairway: you may roll the ball.
- Rough: play the ball as it lies.
Bunkers (sand)
Sand
- Rake and place the ball in the bunker.
- If embedded, place it in the bunker in a comparable lie.
Out of Bounds (white stakes)
OB
- Out of Bounds is defined by white stakes.

Choose one:
- Stroke and distance, or

Two-stroke penalty and place the ball in the fairway
at the point it crossed out of bounds.
If a tee shot goes out of bounds, the next shot is
stroke 4 from the fairway.
Red stakes with green/white tops
Restricted
- These areas are out of play. Balls may not be retrieved from them.

One-stroke penalty.
Drop one club length from the red stake.
Stance relief: if the ball is in play but your stance would be inside the
restricted area, take a free drop at the nearest point
where your stance is completely outside.
Unplayable lies (bushes, shrubs, etc.)
Unplayable
- One-stroke penalty.
- Drop the ball in the rough at the point where it entered the unplayable area.
(No two-club-length requirement.)
